Who we are
This website belongs to Aqua Services, a bathroom and heating installation business at 19a Beacon Street, Lichfield, Staffs, WS13 7AQ. Aqua Services is responsible for the personal details you share through this site.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us:
- through the contact form: your first and last name, your email address and your message
- if you call or message us on WhatsApp: your phone number and anything you tell us
How we use it
Your details are used only to reply to your enquiry and, if you decide to go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. We never sell them or use them for marketing lists. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to a request you've made.
Who else handles it
- Email: contact form messages are sent to us by email through Google (Gmail).
- WhatsApp: if you message us on WhatsApp, the message is handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy.
- Spam protection: the form uses hCaptcha to check that messages come from a person, not a bot. hCaptcha processes information about your device and browser for this purpose, under its own privacy policy.
- Fonts: the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
- Hosting: our web host stores standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running securely.
- Website statistics: Google Analytics and Google Search Console, described below.
Cookies and website statistics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are, and what type of device they use. It sets cookies in your browser to do this. We only see overall figures, not who you are, and we don't use it for advertising. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site works the same either way.
We also use Google Search Console, which shows us how the site appears in Google search results (for example, which searches it shows up for). It uses Google's own search data and doesn't add any tracking to this site.
hCaptcha may also store what it needs to protect the contact form from spam. We don't use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need to respond to them. If we go on to do work for you, we keep your contact details and job records for as long as we need them for that work, its warranty and our accounts.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal details we hold about you, correct them, or have them deleted. Just get in touch through the contact form or call 07976 424106.
If you're unhappy with how your details have been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
